Technobis Group
Technobis is a group of high-tech engineering companies providing developing and manufacturing high-tech instruments and modules for companies worldwide.
We have built a global reputation for very advanced fiber detection solutions based on specially designed integrated photonic chips. Together with partners, we serve the aerospace, medical, life sciences, and structural health monitoring sectors. Technobis Group
We design and manufacture interrogators, placing them on tiny, lightweight integrated photonic chips. We usually use Fibre Bragg Grating technology. We’re able to measure wavelength shift with two types of interrogators. One is based on a spectrometer; a higher resolution version uses interferometry. FBG is low-loss, totally passive, chemically inert, intrinsically safe, nonconductive, and immune to EMI.
Many Advantages of Photonic Integrated Circuits
We use cost-efficient PIC technology because small size means vastly improved thermal & vibration stability, excellent reliability, plus low power consumption. We can develop and package at mid- to high-volume operating as a pure-play contract manufacturer.
Effective, Efficient Realtime Measurement
Our strain sensors measure vibration and shock, load and force, i.e. minute changes in shape. Ideal for real-time infrastructure health monitoring (e.g.bridges, train tracks, windturbine/helicopter blades, etc). We have off-the-shelf modules for surgeons offering haptic feedback.
Our temperature sensors are designed for thermal mapping and multi-probe catheters.
Our pressure sensors detect small pressure changes, ideal for flow sensing.
Membership
Technobis is an active participant within several European Manufacturing Pilot Lines, including PIXAPP, JePPIX and OIP4NWE. We provide extensive PIC Testing services in collaboration with Eindhoven University of Technology. We're also an active member of the European Photonics Industry Consortium (EPIC).
